Quarantatrè presents itself to its admirers as a wine – and the word “wine” is not chosen by chance – of enormous complexity: over the noble flavours of bread crust given by the careful aging on the lies you find the fragrance of flowers and quince characteristic of the best Bas Armagnac, become wise with age (vintage 1943).
The perlage is silky, and the long taste recalls the most “English” Champagne.
